Daniel Bryan vs. The Wyatt Family (3-on-1 Handicap Match)
Daniel Bryan has battled the odds his entire career. From being labeled “too short” to run with the big dogs in WWE, to being too unkempt to ever really be the “Face” of the company, the journeyman submission specialist is used to confronting a stacked deck. But Bryan has never seen the odds as debilitating as they will be on Sunday, Dec. 15, when he squares off against all three members of The Wyatt Family at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match.
After weeks of torment at the hands of Bray Wyatt and his followers, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper, Bryan teamed with CM Punk to defeat the creepy yet formidable tag team at Survivor Series, dropping Harper & Rowan in a memorable bout at the fall classic. But redemption proved fleeting, and the horror didn’t stop there for the former WWE Champion. Beaten down and dragged away by the Wyatts the following night, Bryan’s whereabouts were unknown and the WWE Universe was left to expect the worst.
One week later on Raw, Bryan reemerged and vowed to dismantle the Wyatts, one by one, starting with Erick Rowan. That night, the former titleholder locked horns with the massive grappler and handed Rowan a big Monday night loss. When Luke Harper rushed the ring, Bryan was able to dodge the post-match assault, and bounded through the arena to a chorus of “YES!” chants.
Later in the night, however, the WWE Universe would learn that the Wyatts weren’t done with Bryan. Speaking cryptically, Bray Wyatt delivered an unsettling missive aimed at the submission specialist. Telling the straw-man version of Bryan that they are “tangled in this web together,” the backwoods preacher professed that he is actually a “friend.” It’s a proclamation that’s difficult to believe, especially after vowing to turn Daniel Bryan “from a man into a monster” mere weeks ago.
Now, with their Handicap Match set to rage at WWE TLC – a match scheduled by none other than Bryan’s former tag team partner, and new Director of Operations, Kane – Bray Wyatt and his followers will seemingly get the chance to play out their sick and twisted mind game. Can Daniel Bryan overcome the odds and defeat three monsters?

Bray Wyatt appeared on the big screen and told his men to stand down. Wyatt said his men would not hurt Bryan unless he told them to. He said he has done a lot of horrible things to a lot of people. He said he is man enough to admit when he is wrong. He said he was wrong about Bryan.
Wyatt said he saw Bryan buying his girlfriend diamonds. He asked Bryan how long he could live this live. He questioned how long before “they” realized that Bryan’s “dirty little feet are soiling the red carpet.” Wyatt said that together they could tear the place down. He told Bryan to open his eyes to conclude the promo.

Bo Dallas hits the stage to big boos for his “homecoming celebration.” There are balloons and streamers and some party hats on the ring steps. Dallas puts one on to “No More Bo” chants. It is William Regal, Byron Saxton, and Alex Riley in the booth.
Dallas leads off with “there is no place like home.” Dallas with his usual confusion of boos for cheers. He has a slideshow. He’s been to Canada and “Cam-bo-dia” where he “sports-entertained” in front of 300,000 to beat Justin Gabriel. Here’s one of him in Lichtenstein where they had a “Bo Rally” and Dallas apparently improved some sick kids’s health by 50 percent just by hugging him. The crowd wants Sami Zayn. Some slides of him looking at sumo wrestlers and being scared of lions were accidentally put into the series. He’s lost control of the slider show. He is going to give people in the crowd cookies, and he has security hand them out.
JBL comes out. JBL thanks him for being a great ambassador for WWE, and compares him to Randy Orton. Sami Zayn’s music hits, and he’s out to a big reaction. JBL does not look happy. Dallas is nervous and asks if Zayn is there for a cookie. JBL says that Zayn has no business interrupting the champion and his boss. Zayn says he doesn’t mean any disrespect, he just wants to be reinstated to take the championship from “that delusional cheeseball.” JBL threatens to suspend the entire WWE Universe for picking up a “cheeseball” chant.
JBL says that Zayn did his suspension, says he will do what’s best for business, and reinstates Zayn. Dallas calls Zayn a sore loser for wanting another title match. Zayn said he has no problem working back to a match. JBL has a beat the clock challenge for the #1 contender spot, and Zayn will be in it tonight.
Kruger and Zayn are out for their match. Dallas, dressed to wrestle, has a chair on the ramp.
Post-match, Dallas looks relieved. JBL’s music hits. “This is not the era of polka dots and controversy,” he announces. He says he can’t blame the ref, this ended in a tie. He puts Neville against Zayn next week to see who the #1 contender is, and the week after that, the winner will face Dallas for the championship.

Luke Harper & Erick Rowan def. The Usos
Despite rallying against a dominating onslaught by The Wyatt Family’s Luke Harper & Erick Rowan in SmackDown’s opening contest, The Usos would ultimately fall short after Harper leveled Jey Uso with a monster clothesline.
And when Jimmy attempted to stop Bray Wyatt’s post-match attack, a three-on-one mugging ensued – ending with The Eater of World’s Sister Abigail.Wyatt then referenced Survivor Series, predicting that heroes would become victims and a scar would be left on CM Punk and Daniel Bryan that would bring with it the taste of tragedy.
CM Punk & Daniel Bryan vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel ended in a No Contest
Ready to battle Luke Harper & Erick Rowan at Survivor Series – a pay-per-view match announced on WWE.com earlier this week – CM Punk & Daniel Bryan teamed up for the first time ever on the blue brand to take on Ryback & Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel.
But just when Bryan snapped The Human Wrecking Ball into the “YES!” Lock, the lights suddenly went out and the horrifying tone of the Wyatts’s entrance theme echoed through Manchester. When the lights returned, The Wyatt Family appeared to spoil the party. While they were in the ring, however, Punk and Bryan were both gone!
Meanwhile, as Axel tried to revive Ryback, the disoriented Big Guy pushed his partner into the creepy faction, leading Harper and Rowan to attack the titleholder and The Human Wrecking Ball. But, after they exiled their prey from the ring, “The Beard with The Best” suddenly reappeared from hiding and scored a hit-and-run attack on their pay-per-view opponents.

Daniel Bryan & CM Punk def. The Shield via Disqualification
Who says old rivals don’t make good tag team partners? Bolstered by CM Punk’s humiliation of Paul Heyman, The Second City Saint & Daniel Bryan came out cocky and confident against The Shield in Kane’s first Raw main event as Director of Operations. The pair initially targeted Seth Rollins until he was forced to summon Roman Reigns, who initiated the “numbers game” attack that left Bryan at their mercy. The “Yes!” man saved the day with a last-gasp tag of Punk, yet before The Second City Saint could put the opposition to sleep the lights cut out and The Wyatt Family swarmed the ring.
Punk & Bryan caught a lucky break when tensions boiled over into a brawl between The Shield and The Wyatts. Their luck was short-lived when Bray marshaled the warring factions into targeting their “common enemy.” All seemed lost until The Usos & Rhodes brothers stormed the ring, saving Punk & Bryan from certain doom and ensuring they would survive to see another fight.

Since the menacing Bray Wyatt and his followers first materialized out of my recurring night terrors and appeared on the WWE landscape, no Superstar – from Kane to The Miz, from CM Punk to Daniel Bryan – has been safe from The Wyatt Family’s path of destruction.
With the massive Erick Rowan and Luke Harper following their enigmatic leader with brutal fervor, these newcomers are primed to continue turning WWE upside-down, a mission which could carry the self-proclaimed “Eater of Worlds” to the very top of the WWE mountain.
As the unquestioned shepherd of his flock, Wyatt has proven that, in addition to his sinister charisma, he’s a dominant force in the ring. At a rough-and-ready 6’3’’, 285-lbs, the sermonizing Superstar boasts rare athleticism and agility for such a physically imposing competitor, moving like a man half his size.
Wyatt gets the most out of these substantial natural gifts with rock-solid technique, and an arsenal loaded with both power and finesse moves. His devastating finishing move, Sister Abigail, is dangerous enough to keep Superstars wide awake at night – or put them to sleep in the ring.
Thus far, no one in WWE has shown the ability to slow the runaway train that is The Wyatt Family. With a few more statement wins over top contenders, Bray could – and should – quickly find himself in the WWE Title hunt. Once he gains that opportunity, I can’t imagine anyone denying the Superstar who looks like something straight out of a horror movie.
As the list of unfortunate Superstars who have “followed the buzzards” continues to grow, it becomes more and more apparent that the path for “The Man of 1,000 Truths” is leading him to the top of WWE and the most prestigious title in sports-entertainment. Bray Wyatt and his family are here, indeed.

CM Punk’s challenge to The Wyatt Family thwarted by Curtis Axel
CM Punk kicked off a blockbuster episode of the blue brand with a pointed message aimed directly at The Wyatt Family, who mysteriously targeted The Best in the World Monday on Raw. In the middle of challenging the terrifying trio to a showdown on SmackDown, however, The Second City Saint was interrupted by Intercontinental Champion — and Paul Heyman guy — Curtis Axel.
The third-generation Superstar began by thanking his “father figure,” Paul Heyman, who is currently laid up in a hospital bed in Europe and promised to make Heyman proud by defeating Punk in a one-on-one match on SmackDown made by General Manager Vickie Guerrero!
CM Punk def. Curtis Axel
While CM Punk ultimately took control of his bout against Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel, the untimely distraction of The Wyatt Family’s creepy tone opened the door for the third-generation Superstar to rally. The Second City Saint doused the flames of the comeback, though, kicking out of the Perfect Plex to nail Axel with the GTS for the win.
But that wasn’t the end of the story, as Punk’s celebration was cut short by the ominous presence of Bray Wyatt, whose eerie laughter could be heard echoing through the arena.
Daniel Bryan def. Luke Harper via Disqualification
After The Wyatt Family’s brutal Oct. 28 backstage attack on Daniel Bryan and the subsequent clash this past Monday on Raw that saw Bryan lend a helping hand to CM Punk, the bearded wonder battled Luke Harper one-on-one on SmackDown.
Or, at least, he tried to.
Still donning bandages over his injured right shoulder, Bryan valiantly put up a fight against the scarily aggressive Harper. When The Beard somehow managed to kick out after being planted with a thundering power bomb, the submission specialist snapped in the “YES!” Lock on the Wyatt disciple. But Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan emerged to once again assault Bryan, this time leading to a Disqualification victory for the former World Champion.
Proving that one good turn does, indeed, deserve another, CM Punk rushed back down to the ring to help Bryan, returning the favor for the submission specialist’s Monday night save and scattering the creepy Wyatts to the wind.

Erick Rowan & Luke Harper def. The Prime Time Players
The Prime Time Players have clashed with Luke Harper & Erick Rowan a number of times in recent weeks, including a few battles on WWE Main Event, but to no avail. Every time these tandems had locked up, The Wyatt Family members completely dominated Titus O’Neil & Darren Young. Refusing to accept their string of defeats against Harper & Rowan, The Prime Time Players entered Charlotte’s Time Warner Cable Arena poised to shift the tide in their bitter rivalry.
Although it initially seemed like the Wyatt Family powerhouses would once again prove their might, O’Neil & Young demonstrated that they’ve learned a few things about their opponents. Attempting to keep the battle balanced, O’Neil answered Harper & Rowan with powerful maneuvers of his own, while Young kept the match at a fast pace.
Nevertheless, the true power of Rowan & Harper would be the undoing for The Prime Time Players. Even though they fared much better on this week’s Main Event in this contest than in their previous skirmishes, The Wyatt Family remains the most dominant enigma in recent history. A powerful clothesline from Harper, followed by a big splash from Rowan, was enough for the victory, topped off with Sister Abigail’s Kiss from Bray Wyatt.

CM Punk def. Luke Harper
As last week showed, CM Punk vs. The Wyatt Family is hardly a fair fight. Happily for the former WWE Champion, he had some help when the buzzards came circling seven days later. Punk avenged his beating at the hands of The Wyatt Family by defeating Luke Harper in a singles match on Raw, despite a commanding effort by the backwoods hulk. With Bray Wyatt observing at ringside, Harper mangled The Straight Edge Superstar within an inch of defeat, though a missed discus clothesline allowed Punk to pounce with a roll-up pin for the victory.
This, needless to say, did not go over well with the Family. Erick Rowan initiated a post-match attack on Punk and the master himself quickly joined, though the trio was quickly thwarted by the arrival of Daniel Bryan. With chair in hand, the submission expert charged down the ramp to save Punk from certain doom and avenge his own attack the previous week. Judging by what ensued next – the two former WWE Champions pummeled their opponents into retreat with the steel – it’s safe to say Bryan succeeded in both endeavors … at least for the time being.
